FanFest has come out with some great info but I am disappointed in the coverage of it.
The live stream is great....if you can watch it and the event you want happens to be on during your play time...or like me you get trailer re-runs.
Glad they put up some of the you tube video's but more are needed, specifically the presentations and discussions.
Excited for what is coming and am glad i am playing eve.
For CSM i am disappointed as only one of the reps i wanted got in. The one I voted for did not even register. I would not mind a goon chair..but a goon chair and an NC majority is just not nice. Don't believe they will get much done and they will stall and hagger over anything that threatens the big power blocks that make sov warfare in eve so terrible. They may also be very confrontational(calling everyone liers and terrible and dumb) with CCP and other players...this will not yield results.
More focus is needed on small sub capital fleets. Right now these fleets are just targets for bigger blocks to hot drop a super carrier fleet on.
We shall See.

Data Core Update and a question
Got my second storyline on the toon I'm working up now and it was a 4 part mission and gave nearly a 1.00 standing increase. Since I only need a base standing of 4.23....this is huge. 1/4 of my grining done in a mission. So now sitting at 2.11 standing. Level 2's are definatly the way to go due to storylines. Not sure couriers are the best as they typicaly give a standing of 0.1%, where as combat mission can range from 0.1% to 0.4%. If you can run missions fast I'd do combat. Will keep thin in mind if I grind up standing on my main. Pounding these out in an assault frig or destroyer would be really easy with full skills. Aslo increase the chance of tags. Was debating running my main through the process but using collected tags for the faction standing and thus needing the lesser corp standing. Unsure how many tags it takes though. will read up on it.
My question was more related to how many skills relate to data cores and one of them seems to aim at getting more than one research job per agent but need to clarify that...it's on the to do list. Really looking forward to being done. Don't recall the name of the skill a bit more research is needed. If i can research more than the 5 things at a time that would be awesome.
Edit: You only get 6 slots or 5 if you only skill it to 4. dang

Update on Data Core alts
Well I have 2 accounts and have been training up 4 data core alts (2 on each). The training is mostly done on the first set and far enough on the second set to let them run missions. All the books have been purchased and the agents selected. I need a 4.23 unmodified standing and it sucks to get.
The alt on my main is progressing faster as he does not share the mission rewards while the other alt does. this is so I can get back to pew pewing and run missions on the other screen while doing so.
The first alt is currently at 4.19 so I am almost there. Once this is done it's onto alt #2 on that account and alt #1 on the other account should be finished by then as well.
It has taken me 2/3 of a month and expect the second alt to take about the same. I am running mainly courier missions but have recently begun running kill missions. The kill missions are very fun to run in such an under skilled toon with only a crappy ship to use. It does often take both characters to finish one so it’s not as efficient for most cases.
I am collecting tags and am informed(by the forums) that I can turn these tags in for faction standing. If I collect enough tags I may make a 5th data core alt as I would need to grind much less standing. Need a way to calculate how much standing the tags would get me though. I am assuming it’s not enough though.
Once done my 4 alts will be pulling in data cores and I’ll have a cloaky hauler or other such ship come pick them up. I’ll have to look into how to hide cargo and such but one of the alts is also my market alt and she will have the ability to fly a transport ship.
So that’s where I am right now and working on…looking forward to being done.
Seems I always come back to running missions…just this time a bit differently and hopefully will be done running them none stop for a good long while.

The ISK Treadmill
Ah ISK..
Well I am always poor and have spent most of my EvE life doing level 4 missions. Upon joining EvE I joined a corp and ran missions and then I ran more missions. Then I helped others run missions. I dabbled in faction warfare, Wormholes and even some 0.0. But always came back to running missions.
It seemed I always needed more ISK. I need more ISK to buy this battle ship or that fit for a battle ship. The end goal was always to get to 0.0 to PvP, yet I never seemed to get there. With limited play time I would run 2 or more missions in a night some times solo, some times in a fleet yet I was always poor.
In hind sight I spent to long doing lvl 4’s as they are a treadmill and require far more play time than I have. I also had the expectation that in 0.0 you needed lots of ships and lots of ISK.
I was wrong. PvP is exactly as expensive as you make it. PvP in a reaper and it’s really cheap. PvP in a marauder and you have more isk than brains. Currently battle cruisers cost to effectiveness ratio is so high making them very popular. it is also the sweet spot for risk vs reward for many people. Further adding to their popularity.
That said I really want to fly some more expensive ships and have them be expendable with out really feeling the loss. Grinding more plexes/blets or level 4’s is nto really an option with limited play time. So I’m looking for other sources of isk.
Currently I am training 4 alts to become data core alts. While they do NOT make a lot of isk it is free isk. So far I have only finished 1 and it took about a month of training a running missions. Once done it will provide an nice passive source of isk.
Pi is also something worth doing, I have an alt account doing PI but will probably get some on my main. I expect to be over hauling my PI production chain as right now the base materials are worth more than I’m producing.
The alt account mentioned above is NOT a combat pilot but a miner, she can now fly a hulk so once I save enough that should be a nice source of isk. Minning as my main is on a roam(dual screen) warping out if a hostile is in system.
So while I do not have much isk now I hope I soon will.
PvP goals
Right now I am poor and in 0.0 npc space and can only play for 1-2h a day.
There are lots of ops and corp things so making isk has not been a priority. My main is fairly competent skill wise for many combat ships. Mainly Mimnitar and Amar ships in the cruiser hull and frigate hulls. I
Right now I seem to mainly fly drakes, hurricanes and stealth bombers. Due to my play time I find many roams or ops are already in progress or that I may leave before they are finished. Making a dash through unfriendly 0.0 in a battle cruiser solo is not so safe...(done okay so far because people are silly.)
This has me looking at a number of ships that may better fit my play style(or lack of it).
I enjoy the stealth bomber but am finding it is useful only around other stealth bombers or in the role of a scout. I need to work on getting better at scanning, using the directional and other scout tasks if I intend to be a fleet scout. I also need to practice some bomb runs and have been meaning to do some on SiSi but have not gotten around to it. Over all the stealth bomber is fun but it fits in poorly with a fleet. As scout I am of limited value due to being undependable. Maybe with great practice I can get good with bombs and se them in a fleet fight but will assume other ships are more fit for this role.
Tacklers are needed in any fight and interceptors are a ton of fun. While they lack a cloak they should be able to navigate most gate camps. I will assume the attrition rate for me at the start will be high but it will pay dividends due to the fleet being able to kill more. Due to it’s speed it can also join up the soonest. The survivability of these ships in a fleet fight is low and there cost is fairly high. I can fly amar and mimnitar ships of this class. There purpose would be tackle rather than DPS or anything else so would often fit a scram and a disruptor to tackle 2 targets as soon as possible. No web as in a fleet fight the web is not as important and some drake may get it if I hold it long enough for others to lock…since that’s my real purpose. Any DPS I do DI will be mainly to drones…who cares about kill boards. Of all the ships in EvE these are probably the most demanding and fun.
Recons also look like fun. I do not have the recon skill to 5 but may if I find I am in these ships a lot. I have amar and mimnitar cruiser to 5 so will look mostly at the pilgrim and rapier. I think for the fleets I run with (20 or so ships not super blobs) the Rapier will be the best ship for the job. Able to web really far will really help gate camps and preventing people from escaping. Will also be a great anti support ship maybe targeting other E-war or even frigates. I have no experience in this ship class but it should be fun. On the down side they are often primary and lack the tank to survive, also the rapier is not a battle turner.
These ships are mainly on as needed bases when joining a roam already in progress. If joining a fleet as it sets out and I expect to return with them will probably fly a hurricane or e-war drake or other ship depending on fleet composition . I enjoy the hurricane because it’s not a drake and the e-war drake is fun because it depends on your not being primary to survive while shutting down other foes with e-war.
For pos bashes not using stealth bombers I’ll need to set up an amar BS(because who wants to reload) I have a geddon but unsure it’s drones help much on a pos bash so will probably use a pulse apoc.
I am also toying with a close range typhoon because it’s fun.
These are my short term goals for PvP in EvE mainly to help my Corp.

Alright i Have Molsan up and running started training PI stuff and looks like I can even start messing around next play cycle.
Bad thing is I have done 0 research.
Will prolly explore a system between tidacha and buftiar and see whats is there. Will use that info and a PDF i found earlier(and will need to find again) to see what things I can build, the goal is to get a number of resources to build as far as I can with a single toon.
So some reading when i get home. Today I have an "open house" meeting that will make me very late so none tonight but may have time to read up and get planet types listed and form a plan.
I'm also poor. No what pi costs to get started and have about 25m between the 2 toons. So thats another thing to look into, how much do i need to start.
will also read up on what i need to do once i choose what to get.....
Edit:
Okay read up a tiny pit but will watch some vids on scanning.
right now my plan is to make....."Self harmonizing power cores"
now i have no idea what those are but there what i'll make.
Now I plan on using 5 planets.
From each planet I hope to obtain 2-3 base items per planet.
Eg) From gas i need 2x reactive gas, and 1 x ionic solution
SO i hope that is possible. On the plantes I just need 2 things from i'll just get what I can.
The planets i Hope to use are spread out between Tidacha, odlib, and yadi.
So training the skills but still some things to learn..
Ie can i Undo a command center? can i move links later? should i wait till i have 4's in most things before starting or sort of play around now?
Well off for the night after putting my little plan together and hoping that expecting 3 extractors per planet is not to much. No planet is required to produce more than 2 different things though.
One down side is only one planet has a reaction from it's own reactors...shall see how this goes.
thoughts would be great i missed all the pi stuff so am just getting into it now.

was going to go with the level 4 command centers.
I did hit a snag in my planning.
the finally reactors can only be placed on temperate or barren plantets and i only have one of those. That plannet was also expected to produce 3 resources for me.
Not good.
So may be okay but that planet would need 3 extractors, 3 basics, and one high tech.
Most others will have 2-3 extractors, 2-3 basics and an advanced. will try to spread the advanced to the planets using only 2 extractors.
will have to look at if this is possible. For the price diffrence it makes since to just by the level 4's and thus not worry about link length if it's close.
So will have to get those numbers. depending on what i find I may start plonking down soon.
my big hang up is i can't find if i can move the extractors later when my scanning is better.
Also i have not learned to scan yet and will have to watch you tube as the slider thing confused me. will search for a video later.

Alright got rolling and chrono loaned me 40mil, and nika sold me her drake(rigged no fittings). So i need to pay both of them off.
I have about 60m ATM so am working towards that goal but as always I have mroe stuff to buy than isk.
I'll save up the 22mil for a covetor, and some to get pi rolling.
I learned a lot of what nto to do in setting them up.
you can ave quite a few reactors per link...i was worried about having capacity in the link but in empire your extractors do not pull much. also you can group extractors..intially I spread em out to each hot spot thinking that there was some downside to having them close or in the same pocket.
So working on planatari consolidation 4 and should be done tommorow so I hope to set up (and re set up) then.
My alt can fly a hulk and will be adding some complementry skills to that. Enough to fit out a decent hulk and maybe even strao some decent shield mods to it.
after that prolly mimnitar industrial 5 for transports and maybe eventually a fenrir.
The hulk will wait and I hope PI makes me some isk.
For Morglas..he is still unsure what to train for. Working on caldari cruiser 4.
will prolly grab caladri BS to 3 and cladari cruiser to 5. Maybe also do mimnitar BS to 3. large projectiles also to 3. After that rounding out my recon, heavy dictor, logistics skills to 4. May grab minitar cruiser 5 just to have a wider range of ships.
Morgals will keep running 4's but is really wnating to get into the WH but only has a drake, but may bring a shield tanked geddon(have geddon but not fit). Also looking to get molsan into the c6 to mine in a covetor.
Some good goals for the short term I supose. there is a lack of tengue in the plans but thats mainly due to things changing and will see what i'll be flying in our new AO when that takes place.

edit:
yup you donated 40mil to me.
So payed back my 200m and can return the drake
so am in the black again.
For training I am really really looking forward to 0.0 space. With that in mind I need an expendable ship that fits my play style.
I need to get some core skills down and will be working on those for a bit. But then!
I often log in late, often lave with short notice and thus being able to join the fleet or return to safe space is important to be able to do solo. so that leaves.
Stealth bombers
Recons
T3
T3 is to expensive to be considered expendable
Stealth bombers are good but rather specific in thier use.
so that leaves recons. Acording to wiki they are fairly cheap so thats a bonus.(how much are they?)
I have amar cruiser to 5 so the pilgrum is a ship I can currently fly. It's a good boat but am unsure how it would work with our fleets. Can have a ranged set up to disrupt turrets and cap out smaller ships that aproch our BS's but really not suitable to smaller roams. So will be looking on how these are typically flown in a fleet and what sort of fleets they are best in.
I also am looking into getting mimnitar cruiser 5. This gives me a bunch of shield ships and are the ships i really like anyways.
this opens the scimitar and the rapier. One seams like a great fit for our drake roams and would be a good logistics boat for me as i am a single character.
the Rapier also looks like a really good fleet suppport ship for drake gangs. Thinking this ship would be my main pvp boat. thinking it would out perform the pillgrim mainly due to it's ability to warp in and out without worring about drones. Can also stay at a decent range.
From thier it's training towards command ships on both sides.
Intialy my pvp ships will be amar BS's, drakes, harbingers, arbitrators depending.
Main things to train.
Long range targeting to 5.
Rig skills to 4(as rigs are more common now)
Gunnery suport skills may need a slight top up.(eg improving fall off to level 4)(mostly good here but some need 1 more level to be really good.
Skills to rat with(would like to use amar BS but can use drake, raven, amar hac's) and will skill up any defcencies to make this go better. Depends on our AO...if em/them is poor I pay get spend some time on caldary and missile skills. Don't expect much as a drake and raven are good for this i assume)
Specialty ship skills. Mainly involving the pilgrim or what i plan to fly. so recon ships to 4, better ewar and nos skills
Remote rep skills need a top up.
then!
Mimnitar frigate 5....why? because I always wanted it.
From thier t2 medium projectile wepon skills.
This will make the huricane my main boat. I really like this ship, much much more than the drake(bleh).
the huricane will be my boat when i can join the fleet and move with them or for what ever else.
then onto mimnitar cruisers 5.
then i can really specialize my skills
I will also know more by then and thus a new plan will form. hopefully towards a command ship....then to a carrier
(archon)
this plan opens a lot of ships to me. I have decent core skill so should be good. I like battle cruiser and smaller ships most as BS don't really apeal to me. Gives me a lot of good cruiser ships that I can choose from to help the fleet no matter it's compisition. between amar and minitar I have many play types available. Be it shie;d tanked drake gangs or armor tanked hac's. Don't plan much in the BS realm past my current amar bs as I have those @ 4 and it should be suffecient to use t1 large guns. this may change later if I am finding i am ussually in a BS for ops.
So again very excited to head towards 0.0
TLDR
ME like cruisers
ME like Recon ships
Me amar
Me like mimnitar
Me like Rapier
Me like info on rapier play style/costs
Me like support fleet...how me support fleet best
ME like hockey

So again very excited to head towards 0.0
TLDR
ME like cruisers
ME like Recon ships
Me amar
Me like mimnitar
Me like Rapier
Me like info on rapier play style/costs
Me like support fleet...how me support fleet best
ME like hockey

Also for my alt she is now ina covetor...but stuck in the c6. Task is to get her out ASAP and get new clone as she out trained her current one. Expected some c6 minning ops but I seamed to miss them so really usure where to stick her.
Have some PI set ups going in tidacha so far happy with that. when we move to 0.0 will look to reset that up.
Right now here trainging will be some more scanning stuff and the ability fly a covert ops ship..or at the very least a scanning ship.
She can fly a hulk atm but can't afford one.
Will also work on some core skills as right now she is missing a lot.
Will also train salvaging 5 so maybe use her to salvage WH's?
After that minitar industrial 5 to get some transport ships to help Morgals out and better haul for PI.
Minning in my shinny new covetor in empire, unsure if this will be jet can or not until I can afford a hulk. So that is where my characters isks are going. I have about 80m in isk betweent he toons so not very long now.
Will also keep doing PI mainly because I like it and it is doable between activity on my main. Leanred a lot and hope to reset up my empire in 0.0.
again really looking forward to DSI moving.
Edit: May also look at some combat skills to fly a destroyer or something should we need a CTA. last wardec she sat around. An extra tackle rifter may be nice or cloaky scout siting in a system for the corp.
lots to do.

Well lets break this down.
Morgals my main
He is training clarity to get a bit more out of the SP refund for learning skills. These will the be turned over to leadership skills. This will get me most of the way to 5's in the basic leadership area's/ Will still have to manually train a bit for the specializations for the command ships and maybe some fleet skills. I really like command ships and this will go a long way into getting me into one.
Once thats done it is onto Mimnitar guns. I have the small guns to 5 but none is the specialties yet. So will be working on getting the medium specialties..= Artillery first. Once this is done onto mimnitar cruisers 5. This opes a lot of ships for me. I will then have amar and mimnitar 5 for cruisers.
Once that is done it will mainly be training what i am using to use it better. If we are using armor BS's more and more i will look into training large energy turrets 5 and then t2 guns.
If smaller ships i will focus on core skills and leveling up the t2 variants I may be piloting.
For 0.0 i am rather limited both isk and asset wise due to having 2 kids. So I have 1 drake army, 2 unfit hurricanes and 2 BS's and some other smaller ships(will maybe work on buying some interceptors later). 1BS is pve fit, the other pvp RR fit. The pvp fit never had rigs so it's packaged up. Will retrofit the pve ship to RR fit(is an apoc) for use in the escort roams that are sure to come.
Will have to manually fly a few ships but most will be in 0.0.
I also have a raven and jump clone in amar that will remain and attempt to get back into the WH...maybe depending on my play and how 0.0 is and how it changes the WH. This may later be updated with a mimnitar command ship or something smaller but still usefull to the WH.
In 0.0 I hope the BC should last me a while..or at least long enough for SG's logistics to get set up and I can order things. I can rat w/ the BS as i will have an apoc and geddon.
So should be good.
lots of ships are opening up and I can fly a wide variety. Just need to find what I actually will fly. Am leaning towards the hurricane as it fits w/ drake army but is more fun than a drake. Also is cheap and affordable. I also just like mimnitar ships. I also like cruiser sized ships. So have a lot to keep me busy.
To bad I can't afford to lose t2 ships or logistics.
Now for Molsan
This is my alt. She is mainly a support character with little to no use in combat.
She is finishing Mimnitar industrial 5 so may look into transports so I can be slef suffcent or help the corp move stuff. Frighter is simply to expensive for me right now @ 130million isk just for the books I need.
She does some PI and has salvaging 5 so a noctus is in her future. She also has some hacking archeology and gas mining just for fun.
Will train some support skills so she can fly a cov ops scout and cyno for the corp. after that not to sure.
The SP refund is not much but may just go to PI for lack of a better place right away.
So I have a few more things to do to get ready. Need to move a few ships to ada-whatever. And buy some mods to fit to the ships I have for when i get out there I can be up and running. Just wish I had a freighter so i could help more. But realistically thats is still months away.
So thats my plan.

Adding a bit more to this.
I have not gotten on much due to family being over and I find I play more with a goal in mind. so.
Training is going well with lots of ships available. Can use Mimnitar and amar and thier weapons fairly well and will get large projectiles and minitar bs to 4 if alpha fleets become the FOTM for SG. After this traing is done it's mainly focused on getting better in the drake/huricane. Once thats done more ship specialization for recons, interdictors, logistics ext.
With so much going on the drakes and huricanes are my main boats and I've had enough stressing over isk so no more. Thats what I use the alt for (PI, TRADING, MINNING) so morgals was free to fight. So I'll be joining what ever fleet is up when I log on. may PVE if nothing else is going on. Will probably use battle cruisers the most as the effectivnes/isk ratio is high. been playing with e-war fits a bit and high effectiveness to isk ships but the BC really is a champ in this area. I will also be ordering up some Stealth bombers. Mainly because I join late and need to get out to where the fleet is. These ships can get there alone so I can join a fleet that is 10 jumps out.
Doubles as a scout, maybe tackle and while not ideal for fleet fights it's something untill I can aford rapiers in quantity.(thats really what i'm saving for). may also try some thrasher fits as I generally like that ship and may even move into a saber.
So I have a plan and know what I'm doing when I log on. Find PvP fleet, if it's close grab a BC, if far stealth my way out there, if no fleet mission or rat.
Rather unsure on the viability of a S/B joining an existing fleet if it's the only one, or if an interceptor would be just as survivable but more usefull to the fleet. Advice is welcome on this point. What ships can traverse 0.0 solo and still be usefull to a fleet?
For my Alt
She is currently NOT subscribed as I am losing my second PC for a bit. I hope by the end of the month to have a new PC and dual box even better. When that happens resub and start up my PI empire. May also look into buying a hulk ASAP as she gains more shield skills(my covetor went boom as rats where much tougher than i thought and the old pc lagged to heck and well i died).
Was also depating turning one the extra characters into a datacore character and the other a cyno alt. Did not really want to use morgals to go back to empire to grind faction of an alt so a little unsure on how to do this. thinking level one courier missions or something done as I play morgals. Really need more info on this as i have not found a good source. the agent look up thing is really all I have. So will do some further digging when the time comes. Any good information on geting started in datacores?
Eventually my alt will train up the t2 miniral skills to better mine but we shall see.
Overall fairly excited ot be in 0.0.

I think an Inty is very viable for survivability and flexibility between combat and GTFO in 0.0. You should be able to do AT LEAST 4.5KMps, align in LESS than 3.0 sec, and should do around 150ish dps (more is better obviously). A Stealth bomber is very fun and useful in the right situations, but less so with our average fleet comp. Just my 2 ISK.
In all Honesty, I would get both
Here is a rocket Crow fit I have been playing with:
[Crow, PVP Rockets]
Overdrive Injector System II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Ballistic Control System II
1MN MicroWarpdrive II
Warp Disruptor II (Can be swapped for a T2 Scram)
Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
150mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S (Can be swapped for a cloak)
Small Auxiliary Thrusters I
Small Auxiliary Thrusters I
4800M/s w 2.6/s align (w/o MWD), 121 DPS and a 1720 scan res.

Thanks I had a crusader out in 28y and enjoyed it. I can now use amar and mimnitar frigates and cruisers (t2).
I am going to assuem that an inti is survivable and can reliably run through 0.0 to rejoin a fleet and upon thinking may be better than a S/B due to the faster warp speed. I also want to try rockets(ya ya i know dps is not my job.) But I will need to practice..
I have not made it to the test server to test bombing runs but it is on the to do list. Looking it over and in the near future I plan to buy these toplay around with.
A couple of inti's of varous flavors (amar and Mini) *decided on a couple of maelidictions and have ordered these*
A hound(i have a purifier)
A thrasher..because i want one for gate camps or just for fun unsure how much i'd use it.
An amar BS for pos bashing mainly because i hate ammo
A Typhoon because i want one for RR bs, Unsure how i'm going to fit it but love the options. Tiss also fast, doubt this would be a 100km but more of a close range BS. will have fun in EFT for a bit.
Maybe some e-war later
I also now have the auto cannons to fit out my huricane as a close range ship and that makes me happy so i'll be playing with that as most fights we are in apear to shape up this way.
I do have some questions about target painters though. Do heavy missiles(ie drakes) benifit from target painters when facing cruisers or battle cruisers. Would bringing a bunch of bonused target painters help at all or would another drake be better? I like the idea of painting a target to inclrease the fleets dps but not sure that it really would vrs most targets.
Lots to train for just to be better in the ships I already fly. Will spend some time training towards logistics but will also focus on what ever I seem to be flying most. This will be a bit of an experementation phase where I learn what works best for me. We will see what i am in most often(any thing but the drake please)
In big news for me I set up my own little corp for my alts! I have made all the characters and have started 2 on training the social skills prior to running missions for standing. This will only take a couple of days more, so i'll be grinding faction with the Caldari R&D faction for a bit on both toons. I'll be on TS but will mainly be there for chit chat and CTA if needed or bored of missions. Unsure how long this will take playing 1-2h 4 times a week but we will see. Once the social traning is done I'll start the social traning on 2 more alts to do the same. Once thats done training for r&d this takes a few weeks. Plan to grind up 4 toons, As mentioned unsure how long this takes but doing courier and trade missions should go fast as I plan to use minitar industrials and frigates.
I also got PI up and running but am unsure if it was the best choice. I have 5 planets running and will producing the top tier product. This may not be as effecient as just extracting mass raw materials. More intresting at least. Most of my planets need 2 types of extractors and I often do not use the max extractor heads. so there is waste.
I am also quickly overfilling my storage on each planet as it is 2 days between transfer runs. Only been at it a single day so we will see how my system stabalizes. I saw the post asking for some pos fuels and i'll try to produce some form the planets i have...but we will see.
molsan(alt) is also training towards cov ops so she can act as a scout and cyno if needed to support my main.
Over all excited as thier is lots to do and lots to learn and think about. So many open doors. Looking forward to some isk.

Not sure if anyone reads this but it makes the game more fun to me to have a plan written down and it was fun to re-read all of this..
Working on a passive isk source namely data cores.
Been taking advantage of my reduced play time by training these alts and doing level 2's. Some information for others doing this.
My first thought was I would need 1 miner frigate, 1 combat frigate and 1 hauler per toon. this is what i am using but this could be improved as i will explain below.
I skilled minitar to grab a hoarder, i went minitar as that is what I fly on my main and market alt. Grabbed basic shield and fitting skills as well as rockets to level 1.
bought a single burst, 2x breachers, and 2x hoarder as well as a bunch of skill books. I did the first tutorial mission to get faction standing.
trained negotion, social and connections to 4. the gave me a standing of 1.40 with the kalkkakakaraka or what ever corporation.
Once these where trained up and I had my hoarders in place I could run decent quality level 2 missions in an area with storyline agent also present. (Goran in my case). I also looked for a manufacturing agent as most missions are transport and very few kill missions.
Once done I swapped training on these skills to my other set of mains(4 data core alts hell ya! will later be market or cyno alts.) so they are ready to go asap.
Running the missions has been fairly easy as the transport missions only require at max 450m3...
combat missions are not bad because one breacher flies in and grabs agro and runs away while the other mauls em to death.
mining missions involve the burst mining and a breacher to kill rats that spawn...then haul the jet can.
So far missions going well got my standing up to 2.5 with a few days of play(often semi afk with baby in arms).. i have lost a single industrial to a low sec gank...about 1/20 missions assign you there....still was surprised how little the hit for failing was.
Will train negotiation to 5 as it benefits data cores(I am optimized charisma) from there training the science and invention skills to 4 or 5...
have a set of 5 agents that are all close to each other and jita so will make the run every now and again.
Should note that my market alt will train up a more durable ship to move these things.
I fully suggest people try this as it is a nice break and will help you later. I made a corp for fun incase I use it later but is good fun if only semi on and for limited time.
Things I would change.
I would skill into cruisers as the miner cruiser could hold most of the courier missions, as well as mine far better than my burst. For missions they would also offer a decent tank as right now the OMG run away tactic kind of sucks as it needs both toons. Or maybe a destroyer cruiser combo.
The capacity of the industrial is largely wasted. though some mining missions do require almost 3,000m3. Never worked out what a cruiser can hold.
Works well for setting the auto pilot and watching the kids. if more active warp to 0 and in TS waiting for call to arms.
looking forward to this being done.
SG members struggling with isk and planning on playing for a long time this may be advisable. it will take about a month of training and play how ever.
note:my main character does not share rewards but my alt does....this is so my main can get back to pew pew faster.
According to the datacore site I can expect to make just over 50mil a toon, so with 4 characters 200m isk a month as a free income source on top of PI and what ever my main or alt does. For a casual player that is huge.
also gives me some alts with some skills that could later be used for other isk making ventures.
Thanks for reading....sorry I have not been on much.
Edit: forgot to mention I need a standing of 5.15 to make this work. I hope that takes into acount the connections skill
Gets me really close to 6.67 for an eventual perfect refine should I go that route.
Edit edit!
For inties I love the maelidiction but am worried that rockets put me in web range.
Update: wow only did 1 level 2 last night but it was part 3/3 of a story line and gave me .8% standing..story lines are great.

Edit edit!
For inties I love the maelidiction but am worried that rockets put me in web range.
Update: wow only did 1 level 2 last night but it was part 3/3 of a story line and gave me .8% standing..story lines are great.

Always tech 2 fit interceptors
it really makes a difference IMO.

oh ya, i just can't use tech 2 gun on BS sized ships.
the interceptors are tech 2 fit and the arbitrator is a mix as it is ment to be expendable.

I'd almost just tech 2 fit the arbitrators as well, since you're going to be flying an already cheap ship with some people that might be flying ships that aren't as expendable you should make your ship as effective as possible.

your right and in reading GC can be fairly paticular about there ship fits but i already ordered some arbi's witht he 1600 plate set up so after those i'll follow GC fits. I ahve the skills in game but i need practice before i use some harbingers(can you say primary) though i may look at myrmidon fits.
Molsan expires today and may wait a while before resubing the alt(i week or so?) until i'm all set up. Dual boxing my first days in sghq is not my plan. Want to start out on a good foot.
Still waiting for the order to be billed to me, i have some of the items but not all. Once i have the order billed i can see how many crusaders i can order(hope for 4 more) and any extra will be banked. I should have enough but did not want to order it and be unable to pay. A few more missions and loot payout should see me through.
With the wardec over i assume this will all take place "soon" tm. I have the skills i wanted to train before going to sghq all trained up. So early this week mission till i get the bill then decide. From there move things to uplinger I want moved and put it all on the uplinger express. Pay for that ensure i have enough to insure my ships(they will die) if not corp insured(some arbitrators may be).
Once all thats done i'll submit my ap and jump clone to an implant less clone(i have 2). From there I'll stop training morgals and work on my market alt.
the timing for this is very dependent upon the orders and my isk level.
PS
I found this thread very nice for organizing all my plans and asking questions, fun to look back at my old post talking about breachers and rifters and fitting salvagers to them...makes me want to jump in a rifter.
You can take the mimnitar out of the ship but you can't take the mimnitar out of the pilot. Still think every ship should have an AB....just becuse.

eh re thought it...i like my abbaddon....it does as much dps as tech 3 at longer range. need to get a cruiser that out DPS's my abaddon while fitting a tank to do level 4's. Looked at missile fits and they seam fairly low in dps.
Not sure this is better than my abaddon.

aproching the time that i should be moving.
ran a wh op(thx for running and letting me come even though i was late) as well as monday missions and collected about 20mil isk.
I plan on running a few more level 4's solo or with some newer players and bumping that isk up to order some crusaders.
i also am really wanting to have isk left over to buy a hac. The rats in our AO are very resistant to EM/thermal and thats what lasers do.
so i have a number of options.
1) geddon with heavy drones(current plan)
2) Sacralige ([Sacrilege, New Setup 2]

3) Mimnitar BS, need to train mimnitar cruiser from 3-4 and the mimnitar BS, Also need to train large projectiles.
4) Mimnitar HAC, i can only use tech 1 guns
5) Gallentai HAC, train cruisers from 3-5, can use drones
6) Gallentai BS, dominix uses drones and could easily train large projectiles to 3 or go RR/nuet
Think option 1 is the easiest for me to achieve(as i already have), but option 2 will be intresting i need a few more skills(for missiles though i have most.) this may be my back up or eventual ratter as the geddons swap over to PvP ships(as there already ordered. Option 3 is intresting but means training up an entire new weapons system and i would only get them to 3. Seams like a cop out, i have other thigns i want to invest time into than training mimnitar BS and large projectiles to 4.
Option 4, seems a waste without tech 2 guns, and when all is said and done would it be better than the sac? Options 5/6 look intresting but would they be better than the sac? would be training for a domi be worth it? maybe later.
Much of this is isk dependent, looking forward to heading out so if i don't have enough isk for the sac i prolly won't get one, dito for if i have not gotten the missle skills before i move out.
Will be intresting. So uncertan of what exactly i'll face so keep hearing bit sof advice and thinking...i should go do that. my main plan is set right now and am looking forward to getting the bill. I have about 300mil so should be able to afford everything.
Also molsan's sub ran out so no back up isk for right now. thats okay though but i'll bring molsan back in about a month. Once back he will make a b-line for a hulk and afk mine in tidacha or near by. Yes i know i should keep him training but don't feel like it right now. has barges 5 still to train

Id bring one for now for regular roams. See if you like it, its easy to get another ship to our area of operation if you want to make changes or get blown up (we dont have heavy losses atm).
Also, get a second BC thats fit for sniper (100km). Right now all CTAs call for sniper HACs or sniper BCs.

Well leave I am yet again procrastinating joining SGHQ.
I have been semi afk due to us getting a wii, illness and such.
I also did the unthinkable...i trained for a drake...i can fly a drake and even have decent missile skills(tech 1).
Most of what i ordered is in place and i simply need to pick up some little things(faction ammo crystals, tech 2 drones, and such) I hope to do that next play period. Once completed i will request everything there be taken on the uplinger express.
I will ap to SGHQ and fly my SB out there.
from there i;m the FC's bitch.
So hopefully next week i'll be enjoying some pew pew.
Well thanks for reading the input has been great.
as for energy managment 5, i agree, it is one of the skills that is always usefull. But it does not give me new shinny toys... I am also slowling chewing down battle cruisers 5.

Jove Battleship?
But yeah, Energy Management V is a must for Amarr players, and Controlled Bursts V (Gunnery) is also quite important. Leadership V! That's a must for joining roams. Can't tell you how often we're short squad COs. HACs to IV, definitely. Then, seriously consider Shield Management to IV and Shield Operation to V. Even on Amarr ships, every point of shield is one fewer (and usually, 2 fewer) points of armor that will need to be repaired.
If you want to get into missiles, you have a lot of possibilities.
Then, you have to start thinking about what your next major (six months to a year from now) goal is. There seem to be five major paths:
* Carebear. In which case, it's time to start training for either your Paladin or your Guardian, depending on the species of bear.
* Special Ops. Recons, EWAR, generating cynos, hard-core scouting. For Amarr, that way lies the Curse, which is very, very cool.
* Interdiction. HICs (and the dictors you fly before them). Destroyers V first, then some goofy Science training.
* Smite. Battleship V, then Large Energy Turret V, then Sharpshooter V, a bunch of other stuff, then a year later, Revelation (then a few months after that, Archon).
* Utility Infielder. Command Ships, primarily. Fleet Command. Giving large bonuses to people.
Ichiro's going Carebear (and can fly a Scimitar already) and Special Ops. Dominic's going Smite (and will be in a Revelation by this Halloween). Ripard's going Utility Infielder. I've tried Interdiction with Ripard and I'm not particularly good at it, though I might try again at some point.

Laz0rs are shiny toys, and firing them requires cap.
Actually, it's an important fitting skill, just like engineering and electronics, just not pronounced that well. And if you're going to go lasers, you do need controlled bursts at V. Like training skills, there's little alternative there.

ya ya. level5 will eventually get done.
Right now i can fly a drake though! sigh.
But i went to uplinger and fitted all my ships and ordered a few things that where missing.(2 large guns? how does that happen) so once thats done i no longer have any excuse not to join SGHQ.
the time is close, i expect the items to be delieverd soon as other than the guns they are all common items(tech2 drones, amoo and such)

I can't fly much else
by ratting with an apoc using ogers i hope that will be slightly less of an issue.
I can also pilot a sacralige but was told an amarr BS would be better for ratting than the sac. Maybe a damnation later if i get enough isk.

The angel rats are another reason why I switched to the Tengu.
The SCs can't out-DPS a battleship... versus BB/BC-sized ships. But against frigates - especially elite, orbiting frigates - they rock.
I ran Recon 1 of 3 with my Tengu last night. When all 7-8 battleships had spawned in, THEY COULD NOT HURT ME. I had to occasionally pulse my LSB, but as long as I didn't slow down, I was invulnerable. Nothing broke my tank.
In Recon 2 of 3, several web frigates attacked me. TP plus 3-4 salvos killed each one before my shields even went to half. And my missile skills aren't close to max.
SCs can't do more DPS. But their tank/survivability due to speed and signature has to be seen to be believed. And they do good damage (400-500DPS) so they're pretty nice.

aye, once i get set up and comfortable in 0.0 space and maybe manage to not lose a ratting ship on a regular basis i will look into the SC's. I am mainly skilled for the legion atm(only cruiser skill i have past 3). the legion seams fairly crummy when compared to BC's or even hac's.
I will be working up missile skills so may investigate a ham drake for ratting. Or a sacralige or even a mrymidon, will have to look into that.
I have already ordered the 2 geddons for ratting but after those go down sure i'll be looking into something else.

The Angels in SGHQ AO is the reason why I crosstrained into Minmatar. That and I just have a craving to shoot Volkswagons at people.
If you can fly a Sac though, that's probably the better way to go if you don't want an SC and don't want to train into another race's ships.
Another alternative could be to just train projectiles and put them on an Amarr ship. Given the huge capacitor, you'd be able to devote it entirely to the tank without having the lasers draw on it for your DPS. And given almost every Amarr ship has a bonus to laser cap use, you'd really just be foregoing one bonus from the ship.

Um... 430DPS HAM Legion is nothing to sneeze at, AND it easily converts to a PvP fit. Sure, I'd prefer a Tengu, but it's a solid build. Only 20km range on the HAMs, but within that it can do some solid damage and really lock down a target (web AND TP).
I think the edge the Legion has over the Tengu is its ability to fly as a droneless gunboat Super-Curse.

The BSes in the CAs mostly orbit @ 8km, there are 2 that orbit @ 36km.
There are however a LOT of BC's and elite Cruisers that like to orbit in the 24-28km range. It's these things that have prevented my Torp raven from being effective...which is incredibly annoying considering it does about twice the DPS as the cruise.

Well i have my 2 appocs w/ zerkers so i'll see how that goes. I'm fairly close to a damnation(12 days if i do nothing else)so may head down that expensive path or the sac. will prolly try the sac first.
I now have everything i need in uplinger.
1 harbinger (if i need to bring a BC)
2 apoc's(ratting)
4 arbitrators(learning)
3 maledictions (scouting...may turn into prime combat ship.)
1 crusader (will fly it to the AO and is currently in tidacha)
I have almost no isk now as I spent it on the maledictions and on implants for my alt.
Training wise i have trained everything i wanted to prior to going out to 0.0 so I am set in that reguard. working in minior skills I think may help but not really doing long trains or presuing a set goal as i hope to stop training soon and swap training to the alt for a bit.
I contracted about 4 cans of loot to dominic Sanches and am expecting some decent payouts as they represent some fairly decent solo and group missioning. Got the empty cans back but no isk so not sure what is going on there.
I would like to have about 150-250 million isk before making the swap. this is to insure the ships and act as a float if i can't make isk out there. My alt just need the exhumers book and hulk. So I still need to make about 300 million isk.
so close yet so far. seems like i'm on a tread mill and never really get there. I may just say F it and sign up with no real bank roll and just leave the alt in her retriever until i get more isk.
I contracted about 4 cans of loot to dominic sanches and he gave the empty cans back but no isk. So hoping for some payout soon. Will deside more once that takes place. I keep expecting more isk than I seem to get
I am way way over thinking this and should just do it. leaning more and more towards that.

Hi Morgals, double check your wallet and your EVE mail. I responded with an EVE mail last night specifying exactly what times you should have seen four pay-outs, for 33m ISK total. Two of the cans you contracted to me had multiple recipients in the can names, so I split the proceeds from those cans with the names of those recipients. Let me know if that should not have happened for some reason.
Short version: you should have four pay-outs. If you don't, let me know ASAP.
On the larger issue, yeah, you're going to need some starting ISK before you move out to 0.0. 100m ISK will be good: enough to pay for a couple of medical clone upgrades should you get podded, and enough to pay for insurance on a couple of your ships.

Sweet was hoping you would read this. Ya thats right for payouts, I always try to get others to join in, especially newer players. 33 mill eh?
thats exactly what the float is for. should not take to long to get up to 100mil. clone should be cheap as i don't need implants. since i've been payed out i'm looking at a few nights of missions.
Well then it looks like I'll be waiting on that hulk and skill book. Will maybe look into an interm solution of upgrading my retriever into a covetor. Not as good for afk minning but still okay. No big deal and should provide some isk income over time.

Morgals, I've quite enjoyed sitting in WO- ratting the belts and running anomalies. You can easily clear L4 mission income from this activity. Battleship spawns in the belts are typically dual/triple 500k-1.75m spawns, and salvage for alloyed trit bars/armor plates and drop decent salvage. Anomalies are crappier salvage/loot, and bounties are half of what you get on a per-ship basis, but there's a LOT more of them and you're safer from ganking.
Either way, with a good belt ratter, you can make money easily out here. That doesn't even touch mining or plexing.
Heck, ship your alt out to be a salvager.

Was not looking at putting my alt into sghq at this point. I have fairly crummy computers and the second computer i run the other acount on is laggy and jumpy. My main rig has tearing if i run 2 clients at once.
With a little one buying a new pc isn't a priority(but started his RESP last week!!!). even manged to put some in the rrsp's
So my alt will prolly remain empire miner for the near future. It does remind me that i DO NOT have a salvager out there and prolly should get the gallentai one out there for just that purpose. So will look at setting that up next play time.

Well I droped roles for DSI and applied for SGHQ, i have my ships in uplinger and a float of just under 100 million isk.
How did i got from 25million isk to 100? well insurance.
I was dumb and lost my abaddon, only managed to save 3/8 guns.
Warped to a mission pulled the entire room, aligned out but was not to worried and started working on the battle ships so when i warped back in i would not have to warp out. Was overconfident and since i wasmulti tasking other things i failed to notice the warp scrambling frigates...by the time i noticed i only maged to recall my drones, send out the lights and kill 2 of them. Took longer due to garrista's jamming.
Wish i could blame some mechanic or say this or that sucks but fact is i was not paying attention and was over confident. Prolly the number 1 and 2 reasons for lossing ships.
So molsan will have to suck it up and stay in the retriever and slowly earn isk for a hulk. She will try and join missions ops as a salvager and minning ops as a retriever or hauler.
Morgals will log on next play period and jump clone to mehetor. fromt here that clone will move to kieriend and obtain a salvage destroyer. Once the destroyer is delievered to uplinger Everything will be backed up and sent on the express.
I will then fly back to tidacha and grab my interceptor that will then move to uplinger and wait to join sghq.
My market alt will then begine a 14 day tain as a market alt, not very long but we shall see.
Once done morgals traning goals will varie wildly, I may grab command ships just for fun and give the fleet leader ship 5 so i can hold squads or what ever. Sure morgals goals will change as I learn out in 0.0. May go interceptors, or may go hac's or may go recon or may go somethign else.
Plan to join the industrial side and plex a lot but once i get comfortable will play it by ear. Not to happy with ratting in apoc's so expect that to change. May use a damnation if i can afford it. Can;t see that as much riskier than a t3 cruiser.

Well, it happens- I lost an all-faction-fitted CNR worth 1.3 billion isk when CNR's were only 300 million average... I was paying attention to my alt with repping drones on her. Meanwhile, I was scrammed and taking a nice load of DPS, and I had the scramming frig into structure- except so was I. I actually thought I had it since I'd been aligned but my "ship was out of control" and it popped. Oh well, isk comes and goes and so do ships
On that note, I guess for all of us who don't PvP regularly, this seems to be our expensive periodic re-affirmation of our mortality when we're using our expensive toys to do missions in! At least it is for me.
No shame in losing your ship, it happens to the best of us! Even Schadenfreude said he'd lost a faction-fitted Golem after he'd returned from an LOA, so we can all share the pain/frustration!
As for going to SGHQ, I was planning on transitioning over after I lost that CNR last week, but I fear I wouldn't have enough time to be useful to them since I have one kid and the wife is pregnant again...

same boat with a kid and wife and figure if i'm not the right fit for sghq i'll just come back...no harm in going out.
I also got all my ships to where they nead to be and even got a tour of the jump bridges. Play time got cut shore by the wife but will next goal it to organize my book marks. read here and there on naming conventions so will prolly organize by system and use a fairly simple convention
Will also go to the main systems and book mark safes, unsure how many i need in a system and will work over time to get 150km book marks on gates in our common area of operations.
Fairly excited as i can now start playing, chrono has been great and i now feel a lot more confident. Hope to make some isk.
My trade alt is taking a lot les time than i thought, only about 14 days to get a bunch of trade skills up. Hope to be placing my first orders soon.
Right now planning on keeping a 100million float on morgals and giving isk to my alt to pay for a hulk. Apperently this will cost me about 130million isk, once this is done i'll be quite happy.
I also found out where sg mines so may inquire how i can help most despite not having good minning skills.
Also saw some capitals around so that was neat. But they really do need to make them bigger.

Yay i got to play.
RL has been kicking my but. As if it knew i moved out to 0.0....
So i set up some bookmarks and took out my ratting geddon. did a couple belt rats and found 2 diffrent spawns of a single battle ship. Was not chaining them so killed the 2 frigates with them as well. Not very exciting, as pointed out by my wifes comment "how can you play that for hours?, it looks boring."
Overall the geddon did well, the heavies(never used before) Did a great job and the bs went down fast. The frigs even went down and that suprised me as i expected them to take longer.
I went to about 6 belts. 2 had rats, 2 had someone ratting and one was empty. Not bad, but not many belts in system. I also notted that both ratters where in drakes. Since i can now fly drakes i'll have to look into ratting in one.
I then decided to do some plexes and scanned, 6 poped up. 1 was being used, 1 was full of wrecks(did not take assumed someone would be back for the wrecks)., 1 was empty.
Not really sure what the titles mean so will have to look that up. Eventually i went to one and it was full of frigates, cruisers and sentries.....sigh.
Figured it would be good to test my ship, event hough there where no BS's and I figure my ships is decent vs BS due to heavy drones.
Overall the heavy drones are much faster and usefull than i was led to believe for pve. My main worry is that i'd need to gtfo and leave them behind.
My ship is currently omni tanked and darn little ships manged to break my tank. Eventually buring away from them and killing them my tank stabalized but was a little unsettling that a complex with no bs broke my tank. I'll have to avoid those 2 hard ones for a bit.
I then left the plex and grabed my salvager, salvaged up and the loot drops where terrible.
While i did okay i think I need to change my fit. Specific hardners maybe, DPS was okay but not stellar, the lasers on the ship did okay and where suprisingly good.
Did better than expected.
I also need to change my salvager fit. first time using a gallentai destroyer, and the mid slots had a MWD, and a meta 0 cap recharger. I ran out of cap all the Fing time, even without the MWD running. Not sure if i would give up a cargo expander but will have to look into it. That or a better cap recharger.
Unsure if even just fitting an AB would help.
Over all been okay but i really need to get on an op but RL is in the way. Hope to join some cruiser roams.

A BS needs a wicked tank to survive. You're fighting Angels, which are bad enough to tank for, and you're ratting in very low true-sec systems, which makes them high-end difficult angels. You're flying a ship with a sig radius of 400+, which means you're taking full damage from everything.
You really want a smaller ship. Tengu or Drake, or even a Hurricane, will do you a lot better than the Geddon. That doesn't even factor in the DPS you're losing due to using lasers, which Angels have very good resists against. Note that you were doing an easier anomaly.
Just for YOU, Morgals. Here's what I know about Angels.

Wow thanks.
The spawn i fought is not on there.
How do the spawns work? is it possible all the spawns where there? But that link helps a lot.
Printed it off and it is exactly what i was looking for. I still need to make isk to afford some nice ships.

The 2 hardest CAs are the Haven and then the Sanctum.
I have lost a Raven in a Haven, and very nearly lost a Domi in a Sanctum the other day.
The Sanctum's last spawn is 6-7 1.1mil+ bounty BSes along with 3-4 elite cruisers and 4-5 warp scramming frigates. They put out about 700 odd DPS.

Ya, don't expect to take those with a sub optimal ship(due to dmg types) into those 2 alone, yet. I may be able to do it if smart but thats later. (basically run away from the rats and let drones do the work and focus smaller ships with the guns)
So I'll be looking for the best non battleship mission runner(i just don't like battle ships.) I have a feeling it will be the night hawk so I better train caldarie cruiser to 5
So far happy with geddon but do relize it is a stop gap measure.
I can also fly drakes(with BC @ 5)
as well as sac;s so those will be my comparisons

though i kind of hope the damnation can do the job since i like it better for no good reason other than it's amarr.
Now you know why I trained for the Tengu. The small sig radius (140-180), high speed (600+m/s), and solid firepower (4-500 DPS) combined with a capstable tank (300-600 DPS) is perfect for anomalies. The rats can't even really hurt you unless they web or paint you. The BSes completely miss, and the smaller ships die quickly.
300 DPS tank sounds inadequate until you realize just how much damage you're avoiding with your sig/movement. A Tengu with a 300DPS tank can hold its tank vs. angels that would shred a 600DPS+ tank on a battleship. It's that huge.
I actually downshipped my Tengu when I was doing Sanctums. I thought I'd need 413DPS 580Tank fit. I was so overtanked. Then I upgraded to my 495DPS 341Tank fit, and my tank never broke.

Ah so this is where I was.....
Well back now and 70mil isk or so to my name. I'll be looking at grabing a new mission ship. I have a geddon hull sittng around so thattle be my first go. I really need to set some goals and get things rolling.
T3 sounds nice and may be a shorter train than command ships and eventually have more bang for the isk/time. But for right now upgrading my core skills until i decide where i am heading(sghq? once i get going?)
I may also train some trading and contracting skills as i have about 600 or more million in 28y and refreshing the contracts via jump clone every week will suck. Not that much out there but still worth selling(1bs,2bc,4c,5 interceptors all with rigs fittings and a bunch of other junk.)
Imidiate plans are to JC back tonight and get my assest from uplinger to tidacha and see what i can slap together. My alt won't be joining me right away until I can afford a hulk+book and get my 2ed PC running.
Once i've re set up tidacha I'll work on running missions and supporting DSI as I can. Not sure if monday nioght missions and what nto still go on but will work on joining or running missions mopst nights that do not have something else.
Once onto the groove and both characters running the quest to build assests and find what to do will start. Maybe finally get in on this WH thing.
Will see, but am excited and how i have missed eve and the people in it. Thanks to the officers, upon logging in I had 3 help me and i was all set up in less than 15min and even had offers of ISK if I needed. SO thanks a lot guys forgot how great the command staff was in eve.
My traiing goals will probably resolve around piloting smaller ships rather than Battle ships as the WH crew uses these more and for PVp i like to be a bit more manoverable and ..expendable. I'll have to see what is actually used.
before I left i may have been working toward t2 missiles for the drake army but unsure if i'll go that way or not. maybe i'll finally skill towards a tengu.

Single best investment you can make is Heavy Missile Spec. It'll translate to when (not if) you get into a Tengu as well.
From start to effective in a Tengu is less than 3 months train time for a newbie character - and you aren't a newbie. You really should consider it.
EDIT: Oh, and PI. Definately consider PI. About 1-2 weeks training will get you 10 mil isk per day, per character, doing PI in one of our wormholes, with a time sink of about 5-10 minutes per day per character.

Looking hard @ the Tengu ant it's about 2 months mainly due to needing Cal cruiser 5. Decent for missions and it's used in the WH due to mass. WH are still mainly shield tanked.
Shield tanking the other t3's is not wise.(i looked and while a shield legion is possible have not tried to build a RR shield tanked legion.) also looked at the loki(i like guns!) but a simillar fate the tengu is just head and shoulders above.

quite true! i looked at options for a shield legion but its just not viable at all. the nightmare is a good alternative..however for size restrictions and speed id suggest a tengu...and may get one as well.

May also look at getting a heavy dictor like the broadsword.
the broad sword shield tanks and is good for the wh gangs correct?(yes i am putting off going caldarie even if it means a longer train into mimnitar)
thoughts?

From my experience, we've only used hictors for PvP, though the Spectres may have had other experiences.
There are other choices for ships if you are adamant about not going Caldari, but they are faction battleships with setups that are about twice the price of the fitted Tengu. They are the Vindicator and the Machariel. You'd have to ask around for the fittings for those, but I don't think either is properly cap stable with the range and resist requirements. All the others require skills on the Caldari side.
In reality, the best ships to be in that are at least partially wallet-friendly are, in order from worst to best, the Drake (Caldari battlecruiser), Raven (Caldari Battleship), and the Tengu (Caldari strategic cruiser).

Yeah, broadswords are for PvP and wouldn't do well in a PvE fleet as their damage is pathetic, even with t2 short range ammo, has a much smaller tank buffer then a tengu and it really couldn't remote rep well either.

drat....how about a curse...ooo
(this post is for me, put into eft when i get home and play w/)
what if i get AB and drop the disruptor...whats my tank, can i get a diffrent low? ext.
Will play around and see....what EHP should i be aiming for? tank? gank?
missions have been good and back up to 25mil, expect to get the 2ed pc up and running soon. Get in on some PI and mine. I have some pvp ships such as AF, arbitrators, and a destroyer so should be good for roams at the drop of a hat. No isk to fit out the harbingers but could also do that w/ corp fittings.
Sent a PM to aepod reguarding rank but still unsure whats going on.
My apoc is doing well but the lack of an monie tank hurts as i need to keep swapping fittings and i keep forgetting. Really glad i trained good drone skills so i don't worry about frigates and getting locked down.
Don't believe I'll upgrade the mission running ship at this point.
Current goals
1. get molsan up and running
2. Get molsan pi trained(???isk req")
3. Start PI(what system..will have to read up on planet type I want. looking at 2-3 planets hopefully all 1-2 jumps apart near buftiar or tidacha hopefully even between)
3. Get molsan Hulk trained ( 25m isk)
4. get covetor or something (25m isk?)
5. More PI training if req
5. get hulk(100m)
6. Get a few drakes w/ fittings
7. Investigate spectors and if i want to do that or something else SG offers.
8. Tengu????
I have a few weeks of training to do before I need to decide on the tengu so no real rush(better shield skills, missles and other support skills i have neglected and need to fit the tengu or just generally need)
This plan should take me until that point. After that about 1m to get a tengu.

Minimum 75% resists across the board (HIGHLY IMPORTANT)

Yeah, it's not any help and as such a curse would be even less useful in a WH op then an broadsword would be.
For wormhole ops you really want either a Tengu or a faction battleship. While both are expensive you can easily make the isk back after just a few operations.
