Post hist Con't

Wow, and the skills are nothing i planned and tie in with nothing else.

Looking @80 days for full skills. but 51 days just to fly it. Now i see why people do it on an alt.

can you mine in a non hulk into a can semi afk?then pick it up w/ a hauler?
fannon
you can mine in a non hulk and it is a decent way to do it

http://www.eve-guides.com/mining/index.php

there is a great guide about mining in general.

As well the site has other great guids to look at as well
doomchinchila
I'm about to have my own mini ming fleet but i enjoy just having 2 hulks and my orca while I do homework
Rainy13
Problem with **AFK** mining in anything but a hulk is cargo space. You can get good mining output from a battleship such as a Rokh, but your cargo hold is very limited. A Hulk has a base cargo, without any expanders/rigs, of 8,000m3. A battleship has what, 600m3 if you're lucky?

See, a battleship can mine quite well. Maybe only 1100ish m3 of ore per minute, compared to 1600ish m3 ore/min in a Hulk, but still quite respectable. The problem is, even with cargo expanders and rigs, that battleship will fill its holds every 4 minutes max. More likely every 1-2 minutes.

A hulk, on the other hand, can go 12 minutes easily. A hulk has 10,580m3 space with 2 cargo expander I's, and 17,199m3 if you add on 2 mining laser II's - but this costs you in mining ability. Still, that's easily 12 minutes (4 cycles) of your strip miners with room to spare (since without the 2 ML2's your mining ability drops below 1500m3/min).

He specified AFK mining above. For AFK, you want to be able to walk away for 10-15min at a time, come back, dump cargo into a hauler/jetcan or just warp back to station. You can do that with a Hulk. You can NOT do that with a BS miner (and a Covetor will do it poorly). A BS miner requires jetcan mining, and it requires emptying your cargo hold every 1-2 minutes. That won't work for afk.

Even for semi-afk mining (such as while reading/studying/working) I still recommend a hulk. But you can do it with a BS, a jetcan, and a hauler.
morgal
Well I've come a long way but still a noob.
I really not happy with battle ships in general. I much prefered my frigates, and battle cruisers.

I'm currently using an abbadon to run mission and can do most of them even if i do need to warp out on occasion.

But i don't like it. It's slow and akward and well my harbringer was more fun. So i am now making a B-line towards command ships.

I will train Medium beam specialization and battle cruisers 5.

So for missioning it will mean i do about the same dmg as my battle ship(it is slightly less) and my tank is also slightly less. However i am 2x as fast, 1/2 the size, 2x as agile and the same range (since i would use beams)

So in effect i now do MORE dmg on target to cruisers, and take LESS dmg from BS. It's also more fun! I think this should work.

As a side effect of this I get Awsome harbringer skills for cheap 0.0 ratting. As i hope to rat in a harbringer. It does BS level dps it just lacks the tank. Also later on it will make a great fleet ship as i work may way though recon ships and affording a command ship.

I think the medium ship size is where i will stay as i simplie enjoy it the most.

I can use hac's but i have yet to actually pilot one. It seems to me the battle cruiser is better...mainly due to price.
Reading the eve forums this seems possible.

For ratting is the harbringer up to the task? I also have access to mimnitar and gallentai Battle cruisers.
I can't use tech 2 projectiles though.
With this is mind would the huricane be a better choice for the rats we face?
would the myrmidon be better(fit withprojectiles, and piloted by a minmatar...oh what fun)
Or is the harbinger still viable(i like the no ammo bit) and well i happen to mainly piloting amar and it leads to the abos-fing-lution.
morgal
Well still on course to the absolution.
training medium energy turret to 5 so in about 14 days i'll have tech 2 medium guns.

in the imidiate future i am poor. so going to sell som junk and contract about 3.5k m3 of stuff to get payed out.

with this i ope to buy an appoc and set it up for RR and do wormholes.
should be nice to have 3 BS RR rather than hells one.
Also gives me a back up if the abbaddon goes pop.

Also looked at a zealot for class 3 wormholes and while doable it takes more than i have. I will get the apoc over the zealot simply because of RR and it helps the fleet more.

This should keep me busy. I am still 60 days out from an absolution but i should start saving to ensure i have enough when the time does come.

I am also getting close to SG's 15million skill points so shortly after the absolution it will be more saving and buyying my pvp ships and getting ready for "the move". Seems i keep putting off joing SGHQ until some new carrot is reached.
Oh well still having fun.
enthropic
keep in mind that you can join SGHQ any time when being active in DSI, no need to wait out the 15 mil SP :P
ChronoSphere
You don't have to - but you DO need to be able to fit and competently fly a battlecruiser in PvP. If you need assistance with what that means, and what skills are required to do so, hit us up in SGHQ Private or start a thread on the forums. The GC fitting page on the killboard has some good fits to try out too.

I can competently fly amar BS and fit the bob fits except for the tech 2 guns...am i going to need large energy turret 5? also do you have a link to the gc fitting page?

You may have got this in private already, but here is GCs killboard. You'll see this fittings link at the top, after you stop looking at the picture.

thanks, and yes the thing i lack is tech 2 large turrets.
Is it really nessisary to get tech 2 larges?

I prefer piloting the battle cruiser and down sized ships.
JohnTrap
Fly what you can afford and what you are comfortable with.
morgal
reapers....
everyone says that but i want to bring what is expected of me.

Also unsure what i should have ready for when i do join SGHQ.

should i have isk saved up? or can i go in poor.

should i bring a bunch of ships?

or expect to make isk once in sghq adn thus gain ships as i go?
Rainy13
I do know that going to SGHQ without any plan for making isk means you're going to lose isk there.

There are plusses and minuses to trying to ferry ships and out there. Honestly, it depends on what you want to do.

If you just want pewpew, throw a bunch of ships in a contract, jump over, and do damge until they're all used up.

If you want to make money out there, know how you want to do it going in. Maybe it's mining ABCs in a hulk, or running plexes. Maybe it's hunting enemy industrials and looting their charred, blasted carcasses.

It's your sandbox. Fling sand in the other kid's eyes, or build a sand castle. All up to you.
JohnTrap
Bring two battlecruisers with good tanks. You will be able to rat and PVP in the same ship. You should be able to do that for 100? M ISK. If you have problems tanking rats or killing rats then fleet up with someone.

If you mine you are in the right place. Bring whatever you have to mine in and we'll gang up.

If you have a PVE battleship, bring that too. Ratting is easier. Equip a salvager and a tractor beam or bring another AB/MWD ship. A hauler is handy too.

Anytime you are not doing PVP you need to be ratting/mining. The bounties/loot/salvage are all important to bring home the money.

Drop the ships in Uplingurer and let them get hauled up first. Then fly there in a cheap tech 1 frigate with cloak and warp core stabilizers if you want.
morgal
i planned to do plexes and rat mostly. Prolly in an expendable BS but experianc emay let me do them in my harbinger.

since i can fly a BS should i also look at being able to mine and spend a few eeks working on a minning BS for abc's? I don't really plan to go further in minning but is it wise to be able to do both?
JohnTrap
If you want to solo mine there are BS configs to do it. I've never looked into it.

Any racial ship with mining bonuses (Osprey) is good in a mining gang. A covetor or hulk is good too if you developed the skills. When I'm running the mining op is equal shares regardless of the class of ship used.

If you have a guard and a hauler nearby, the following fit will do an excellent job as a 0.0 miner:

That config will out-mine a Retriever but requires only a tiny fraction of Retriever skills. It also has 24,000 shield HP and 110K EHP, and excellent resists across the board.

It won't be able to defend itself from battleship rats, and you'll be jet-can mining because the Rokh cargohold is ridiculously small. But it will align and warp faster than a mining barge and it can take many times the punishment of a mining barge. 8 small mining lasers also do an excellent job of sweeping up smaller rocks that the big mining barges can leave behind.

Good luck.
jester
Here's the Amarr version. The tank is better (more EHP, stronger resists), but the mining output isn't quite as good:

I suggest switching to 1 T2 CPU upgrade, 2 expanded cargohold IIs, a Mining Laser Upgrade I and a Mining Laser Upgrade II. It will give you enough cargo hold for one full minute of mining, and only drop your yield by 10m3 per minute (from 868 to 858).

Or fit similarly in light of whatever your skills can handle. I'm a big fan of believing that one cycle's products should not overfill your cargo hold (and thereby turn off one or more lasers for the next cycle). When you have to empty your cargo bay into a jetcan MORE often than that (as in, every 30 seconds), it's incredibly tedious.

Heck, that's the biggest reason people suck it up and get a retriever . Or a hulk (empty your hold every 5-6 minutes).

This Retriever mines 764 (yes, less than the Rokh) but can hold 4 minutes worth of ore (over 3000m3), AND the configuration below, ship plus rigs plus modules, costs less than HALF what just the basic Rokh battleship does.

[Retriever, Retriever]
Mining Laser Upgrade II
Co-Processor II

[empty med slot]

Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal I x2

Medium Cargohold Optimization I x3

Just something to consider.
morgal
Well i'd be looking at an amarr bs as i have almost no minning skills.
In 9 days i can get many of the skills to a passabel level(3) so that would be my plan.

also why the abaddon rather than the apoc/armageddon.

would the one with the huge drone bay and 8 lows be awsome? can field combat drones or minner drones. and 8 lows...
jester
The downside to things like Retrievers, Co-Processor IIs, and Mining Laser Upgrade IIs is that they add training time. The fits I provided can be flown without a large investment in SP, which a combat toon will probably want to apply elsewhere, particularly if that toon has less than 15M SP. I agree that the capability to use those things will be beneficial... if you want to take the time out of your combat training plan.

The Abaddon is the best choice among the Amarr ships because of its larger CPU capability (always a weakness for Amarr ships). The Apoc can be made to work, but will be somewhat less effective. The Armageddon only has 7 turret slots, so it will be much less effective than either.

To build the Apoc fit, remove one of the 1600mm RRTs and replace with a third Photonic CPU Enhancer. No other changes needed. Tank will be about 60% of the Abaddon EHP.
morgal
you win Krish/rain.

I also now have tech 2 mediums so will be able to fly all the bob fits for medium sized ships.

With only 65mil isk and no ships besides my mission ships saving is the next goal. So chewing through level 4's should be good isk.
Rainy13
Do you still have to warp out when you are soloing L4 missions?

If yes, you *really* need Ammatar/Khanid Navy Energized Adaptives. Warpouts cost time, and time = money. They're about 30m each, and will last you for a very, very long time.

If no, consider using faction laser crystals. They also last a very long time, and the damage improvement is substantial (as in, 10%+). More damage = faster missions = more isk.

Once you're truly up to speed, you can make crazy isk missioning. I easily clear more than 20mil per hour. Admittedly, that's with two accounts (second being a combat salvager), but with a willingness to reject the bad missions (even if you take the 4-hour standing penalty for multiple rejects) means you can make good isk.
jester
Yeah, there's almost no reason not to use faction crystals for L4s, particularly since you can spend very little LP and very little ISK to buy them right from AC/AF. They make a tremendous difference.

Wish faction cruise missiles were as affordable. cry.gif
morgal
I'll look into faction ammo.

and no i don't often have to warp out with my pulse fit. Had some time when i was aligned ready to warp out though.
I am also using energized adaptives now rather than specific hardeners so we will see how that goes. my compensation skills are at 4.
have not done a solo level 4 with beam yet but assume i should't have to warp out often as i now do slightly more dps at range. I did notice with an afterburner is still managed to avoid a lot of dmg from npc's. unsure if the lack of an afterburner will mean i take more dmg. Assume this will be offset by being farther away. basic idea right now will to be run away, kill frigates that scramble and then BS. I have decent drone skill sso my hob2's should clear out frigates before i need to run away.

Still feel better with a wingman of some sort.

2 faction hardeners would wipe my bank....i'm attempting to make isk..not spend it.

It's not going well. Seems i'm always poor

Edit:
managed to do a mission last night finnaly with the the beam fit....never even got to armor..knew traing all those cap skills would help with something but did it more for the harbinger. Love skills that affect all your ships.

I can now also use tech2 medium beams, and pulses won't be far behind. I intend to go through my skill tree and using evemon and sorting by train time to next level finishing or upgrading a bunch of skill that only take a few hours. Many of these skill while not huge could help a bit...things like 5% more shields and such that i never really trained as it was not of immidiate use.

Will also upgrade my skills witht he stealth bomber because it's fun. still can't equip or afford bombs though. A probe launcher in not nearly as sexy.

After that intercepters and recon i supose as there so close only requiring 1-2 skills to gain. It seems i keep getting farther from my goals by many short term ones. But excited as PvP wise i can fly a wide range of ships all decently well. So some expermintation on what ships i will fly is in order once i start pvping again. Just so many ships look awsome.
Crusader-fast and great for locking down
assault frigate, pew pew
hac's-durable pew pew with mass dmg
Harbringer-some one say dps?
Stealth bomber-nothing needs to be said.
BS-hate em but they do dmg and tank really well.
recon ships-durable ruining of some ones day.
Really like the pilgrum as i could still do an emergency diaper change and catch back up. Great small or large gang support and has a really long range or can get close and nuet with the same set up. I really enjoyed the arbitrator in faction warfare, still warry of drones though as if i get aggroed warping away to saftey means loss of drones. my least favorite part. Or a gate camp and we suddenly need to jump through so unassit my drones off the intercepter and wait for them to come back, then go through. booo-erns.

Edit 2: Okay got some more experiance w/ beams and my new fittings.
i can't tank very well and may have to spring for faction energized adaptive nano's. this extra little bit should be enough.
I also now have faction amao so i'm pumping out just under 800DPS. so i should chew through missions fairly well. I will need to watch aggro though as i can't tank like i use to with the dual rep. I am fairly happy with abaddon and thus the absolution has been pushed down in priority.
As always i am saving for pvp. So with that in mind i am ensuring I have the skills. finishing of my stealth bomber skills as those look awsome and eventually recon ships as i believe they will fit my life style. Since i have to go afk suddenly with the kid a stealth ship is nice. again i hope to be able to generate enough isk to consider pilgrums expendable but will have to wait and see. Also have intercepters lined up to train as they always seem to be in short supply. Also working on more support skills, especially for e-war. Also working on short train skills, every bit helps.

i just tried to EFT it...can get about 1/2 of the way there.

okay ran some level missions solo and all went really well. Never even got to armor.

Then......dun dun dun.

I pulled the assault and thought nothing of it.

I struggled through this mission warping out multiple time and eventually jarzen helped me with the last 2 groups in the last room.

I just could not kill them fast enough and they melted my armor like nothing. and they jammed me.

I pulled all the spawns in order so it's not like a messed up...i just simple could not do this mission.

Very humbled atm.

is this mission just really hard compared to others?
jester
As I said on TS, The Assault is going to be tricky for an Amarr battleship for two reasons:

1) You are doing EM/Thermal damage. Guristas are highly resistant to EM damage.
2) They are doing Kinetic damage to you. An armor-tanking ship has a tougher time resisting Kinetic.

And that's ignoring how sucktastic DO and Hed are.

Um... why? Plag to 3 I can see... but Dark Ochre and Hedbergite? To 4? Really? Um, no. Set the basic rocks to 3 so you can use T1 crystals (Veld, Pyrox, Scord, Kern, etc) but don't bother to train the higher-end processing unless you plan to take the character to 0.0 or WH space.
jester
Agreed. You can take the higher value low-sec minerals (kernite, veldspar, scordite) to L4 if you must in order to use T2 crystals. But there's no reason to train any other high- or low-sec mineral past L3, and most of the low-sec ores (Hed, Hemor, Jaspet, Omber), I wouldn't bother training at all unless you're going to get into the business of refining them.

The story changes for null-sec ores, of course...
morgal
okay sorry got ship builds from battle clinic and they must have has tech 2 crystals. only to 3, got it. make sense

Edit
got my al and got into the corp but can't play on the trial account and the main account.
Even with a fresh install to a new directory.

So may as well buy the one month so i can use the alt.
morgal
Okay been using the alt for a bit. Buying the account works so i can play all at once BTW.

Salvaging went okay on monday but still struggaling with the 2 windows on a tiny screen. Noted i needed a lot more capaciter skills and targeting skills that i missed.

I have alo now solo'd a level 4 while salvaging, it did save time but i still had to come back and pick up the loot with my main. So getting her into a huricane will be more of a priority.

I'll stick it out for the duration i have paid for but the alt may be postponed after that until i get a new pc that can suport dual screens.

Oh, i also ran out of cap during the mission in my abbaddon...was fine as i paused between pulling groups but slightly better cap skills may be needed....even if i do need to train them to 5.
But imidiate goals are shorter term, be better at the stealth bomber, be better in the arbitrator. So more e-war skills and missle skills. Won't take long(2 weeks).

Also going to grab evasive manouving 5 for intercepters. I always seem to be the last to warp so this will be nice.

Not sure when i'll train my market alt...my main just seems more important.

morgal that skill plan is very very similar to my alts. the only thing different I have trained are the ore specific refines for the t2 crystals. im sure in time ill add more to encompass as much of the ore types as possible. and its AWESOME.

i also have similar cap issues on my abbadon as it isnt cap stable at all. however it insta pops anything smaller thana 300k BC so its kind of a race to destroy as much as I can before i have to turn on the reps =P. but then again ill prob be flying with a guardian soo. it will be a moot point.
Rainy13
Not sure why you're not cap stable. The builds I've posted for Abaddon (both pre- and post-T2 beams) are cap-stable. It's not that hard to fit an Abaddon to be capstable.
morgal
cap only last 3min w/ multi's....i'm fine with ultraviolet. was never in real trouble....would just like to use my multi's more.
morgal
Well a few things

still fairly happy with the abaddon and running missions. Minning in the apoc is okay but not really finiacially viable compared to 4's.

My salvager alt is into my huricane and is fantastic to have salvaging. Also able to haul and currently training toward ore ships.
Over all i'm happy with the alt but unsure if i want to keep it. with one screen it just not as nice and window swapping pains me. Also with the war dec i don't use the alt and in sghq i won't use the alt right away. I'll finshin the subscription and train it as much as i can. But i don't see renewing it until i get a new pc. I enjoy EvE full screen. maybe later i'll mine in empire with the alt making isk while my other character losses it. I'll reactive the acount if i stay in DSI or return to DSI as a salvager is nice. i really do want a new pc but hard to justifie vs education saving plans for the little guy.

for my main i am almost done a short training plan that will see me finshing varous skills required for GC fits($^#$ shield tanks) as well as INTERCEPTORS! so over christmass when out of town i do the 7 day evasive manouvering.....wish i had one for this war dec. I hate not having a ship with a point. So far i am not overly impressed with the amar destroyer but have yet to have an engadgment that really lets it shine. but the single mid slot is killing it for me. I mean really! slow and a point. or fast and no point....my pref target is frigates who are faster and you give me 1 mid slot.....should have grabed the thrasher..though i still only have destroyers 3....that may be part of the issue. I'm looking mainly at the Crusader intercepter as it is faster. However it only has 2 mid slots. So there is now web. The other amar intercepter has 3 mids but uses rockets. Rockets are so close you can't orbit at 14km and do anything...why can't they just make it a missle bonus...make it usefull. It also warps really fast. So for this i think the crusader is better beacuse it does more dmg, is faster and can orbit and do dmg outside web range. it also looks cool. really cool.

In the new year i'll give SGHQ a try and will swap training to an alt on the main account for trade. this will give me a trade alt, it also means my sghq toon will not nee dimplants while i learn the ropes. before i head out i am looking at ordering the following.

5xcrusaders(punishers orginally but crusaders are cheap and have a better role imo)
5xArbitrator (i will use the 1600mm plate fail fit...i have dcu2 so maybe that will help... will give me some dps to bring on roams if the interceptor role is already filled or i want a change. in the end the ships are expendable and intended to die.)
2x ratting armaggedon. (can use for an RR bs but this will be used to generate isk..2x because i'm dumb.

I have some isk saved up but not sure it's enough so will do some pricing in the new year. I accept donations.
all i have that i would be bringing with me is a single apoc RR BS i had been using for WH. by using the ordering tool i hope to have the above delievered right into 0.0 for me(yay for logistical support)

that will be what i bring to 0.0 from there i plan to move into harbingers or hac's depending on how things go. As amarr the shield tanked roams are slighly off puting and i feel in a fleet of drakes and shield logistics my gank fit shield tanker harbinger will be primary. Once i swap traing back to my main i'll be looking long and hard at the pillgrum. I'm fairly close to being able to use it so it's not a huge train. it does make me wounder why i put all that effort into laser specialisations.

I must say i'm looking forward to the crusader. 5,000m/s ooo ya! I'll have to learn thermo dynamics aperently as it is helpfull for intercepters.

End goal i'll have Crusader, Stealth bomber, and a pillgrum to playwith covering mutiple rols and play styles. sure i'll have to drag out the BS every now and again.

Won't take long(2 weeks).

...cap only last 3min w/ multi's....i'm fine with ultraviolet. was never in real trouble....would just like to use my multi's more.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: if you fly Amarr, Energy Systems Operation V and Controlled Bursts V are NOT optional. (Energy Management V is - I STILL have it at 4). Those two skills make or break your capstability with Amarr.

As for the Coercer, yeah, 1 mid sucks. Same for the Retribution. But both have TERRIFIC DPS, and ammo endurance.

Also, the Vengance, though it does crap DPS with its rockets, makes an excellent tackler, can slaughter drones, and easily fits a small armor rep for added survivability. I'm actually quite happy with this fitting:

I just got energy managment 5 icon_smile.gif so ya cap is not a huge issue anymore but using mutli's i do run low.

913m/s? that seems slow. the main thing i like about the vengence is the 3 mids. not at home but what range do you have for the rockets?

also is a rep worth it? most pvp ships i see go with speed mods. a BS would one shot you anyways.
Rainy13
I look at it this way. If you're one-shot, one more lowslot in ANYTHING won't save you. But a rep could help you in a very small engagement. Like our current empire wardec, where you might be fighting another frigate/destroyer. The rep will keep you alive long enough to GTFO.

Also, 906 isn't slow... for an afterburner. ANd for the ships posted, the rockets (~10km range) actually outdistance the pulse lasers (~8km).

That said, if you want range, I'd go with a beam Retribution or Coercer. icon_smile.gif They're both good, assuming someone else is doing the tackling.
morgal
still like the crusader but not sure what way to go. the dps i do does not really matter that much. the range i do it at does. If i get webed i die..
the crusader does not suit a rep imo due to lasers so speed mods ensure you don't get hit...or so i hope.

also w/ tech 2 launchers the malediction actually has a longer on paper range... we will see.

i also lack roket skills but those don't seem to take much\

edit for my own info....
jan 12 alt account expires

Sweet tomorrow night i should be able to pilot a crusader....zip zoom wooosh

i also have "dun dun duna

Dual screens!
Sorta

i am running 2 computers now. I took my old PC from upstares that never gets used and sat it next to my not quite as old but still old PC.

I then set the monitors next to each other...I then download a program called synergy.
i now can use one mouse and keyboard to control both PC's. I just move the mouse from one screen to the next. Tried it with EvE and it WORKS!. Have yet to try 2 eve's as the second PC need to DL dominion and it did not complete before bed time last night. Will start it once i get home.

So far happy with synergy and works for what i want. All for the amazing price of free. It's so simple i managed to do it. Hardest part was using the network wizard that xp comes with.

Lookforward to using it.

Also my alt is currently training barges 3. So i'll be looking for a barge soon.(forget the one...the one that needs barge 3). So next minning op you may not have a hauler. Just morgals in his apoc and molsan in his barge. I am looking forward to a hulk.

I may cancel the acount for a bit when i first go out to 0.0 as i will be focused there but in time i'm sure a minner will be of use. Even if he just sits in empire afk minning to suport my losses. Not sure how SGHQ treats alts and if my alt would move to 0.0 and mine there just watching local. Going to a safe and loging soon as a hostile is in system, not sure how safe our 0.0 space is.

As for saving for 0.0 space.... i have NOT put in my order yet as I onkly have 325Million ISK...i wanted to have a bit more and thus buy 2 BS's. But seeing as i could use my WH apoc/apoc minner i'll be taking that instead as my RR BS, I'll still get a geddon for ratting though and blow the rest on expendible pvp ships(inti's and cruisers). I know people are not a fan of the plate tanked arbitrator in fleets but i'm okay with losing it. I can talk the heckling but it's a support ship so we'll see. Somehow i think FC's will want my interceptor more.

I'm also strongly debating training up Mimnitar frigate 5 and small auto cannon specialization for the mimnitar assault frigs as i find them better than the amar ones due to being able to fit a point. The wolf is also the ship i wanted to fly when i first started eve....i have been side tracked by just a little bit.

So we'll see....i hope to make a lot of isk within very few days if posssible. hope to place my order the week of the 4th and move to 0.0 once the assets of traveled the uplinger express. i hope to do lots of roams and fill time by ratting. making isk eventually and upgrading my pvp ships from initi/cruisers to battle cruisers. though all i can field @ the tech2 level is harbinger and with a fleet of drakes i know what i'd call primary. After that it's onto HAC's or what ever else..problem is those are armor tanked as well. call me selfish but i hope the drake goes out of FOTM. I'm sure all my plans will change once in 0.0.....like they always do. I do hope to bring one harbinger just for fun. semi plan is to lose all my cruisers..that the plan.
once thats done i can move into a new ship class. 5 arbi's should give me enough experiance before they bite the dust. I enjoy pvping planning to lose the ship.

Try a Cormorant. The four mids are exceptionally nice. Not a fast ship, but a perfect instalock destroyer, as was recently demonstrated. 8)

Yes he will, or you'll waste a large amount of time on training. Go to the AF or AC LPstore and buy a set of +3 implants for him. You won't regret it, and it costs what, 25mil? Pocket change.

Try the 5-gun Legion build I've posted. It's a beast. About 700mil to buy and fit. Medium Beam Spec FTW!

I know it's a long train, and you've other priorities, but I'll say it again (as you seem to have forgotten about it): PALADIN.

PALADIN PALADIN PALADIN.

Want to do Class 5 or 6 wormholes? Go full tank for 800+ DPS? Or inflict 915DPS without hurting your 396DPS tank or using drones? Paladin.

I don't see using a paladin in the near future, mainly due to the risk vs reward. I also don't plan on running missions forever and that seem's to be the marauders main use.

for wh i don't think i'll reach the point where a paladin in any pvp environment is a good idea. If faction warfare taught me anything it is how far out of there way people will go to kill a marauder or other expensive ship. The abaddon does decent dmg and requires far less investment in skills and isk. I'll have a carrier before i have a marauder.

Tonight is a big night, get my first barge and first interceptor(assuming there is a retriever to be had). Also need to start planning on what EXACTLY to order for the uplinger express. I know generally what i want but will actually place the order. this may require sorting through my junk and moving what i already have and plan to use to the staging point. this may take a bit as i have a tone of mod's as i save every meta 3+ item i think i may use.
Once all that is done i'll look at my training plan and figure out exactly how many days i have left before jumping over. think it's around 5 or so for things like heavy drones 3 and finishing off a few extra's that i think will help me in my first days in 0.0

Once thats done i'll swap training to my market alt and apply to SGHQ. I'll leave my +4 implant character in tidacha and move my jump clones to the staging area's. from there i'm SGHQ's biatch.

my alt Molsan i'm not sure what to do with. the acount comes up for renewal on the 12th. I see my self focusing on morgals in 0.0 and as i gain a bit more experiance molsan may simply afk mine near our pos. While i don't expect stelar returns the 2-4million isk.h i maymake with a retriever(is this at all reasonable?) should mean morgals won't have to rat except between ops. Also means molsan can train towards a hulk for some day when molsan moves to 0.0 to mine out there. this will hopefully means i don't need to jump clone back to tidacha and run 4's but that option will always be there and i may join mission night for fun. the abaddon will be staying in tidacha.

will be intresting sparta.gif

Edit: i really should stop reading. but was reading on shield arbitrator so will play in EFT when i get home. I just thin an e-war cruiser should fit 2x of it's ewar and be really good at what it does...a 1600mm plate should give the buffer to survive and get reps on it and it'll still have better resists due to the DCU than a pure gank cruiser. It should also be more manuverable and faster than the drakes... we shall see..maybe i'll order 2 of each style.
morgal
okay so i finally flew my crusader.

This is what EvE should look like!!!!
zooming around the station and what not was fun and buzzing ships. mind you bumping the orca did next to nothing.

but it was enjoyable zooming around fast and looked like it should, i zoomed around and flew around the station and ships. I will need to look at reducing the time it takes for a double click to count as a double click as changing direction needed a lot of clicks before a turn would initiate and a simple double click was not enough clicks.

I also FINALLY placed my order.....well most of it.
I ordered 2xarmageddons. and then 4 arbitrators.
i am now broke and will have to save up for the 4 interceptors i want to buy(bout 75 million) and any extra will be spending cash.

I really hope the price is lower than the ordering tool as some of the mods should be free. Will be interesting to see how broke i am.
